Our clinics help take your running to the next level. Each clinic is coached by professional running coach, Rene Unser and supported by an incredible team of experienced athletes who know the trails, love to explore and enjoy helping others reach their goals.  The team is diversified and some are certified in alpine safety, personal trainers, coaches and they all participate in a variety of outdoor pursuits!

P.A.C.E. offers 4 trail running clinics per year and ​and each clinic has a slightly different training focus & duration, depending on the time of year. 

Wednesday focuses on speed, strength, stamina focused, where athletes get to participate in time trials, hill climbs, fartleks, intervals, and more.  

Sundays are are focused on building endurance with the long run. This includes vertical challenges, enduro races, adventure runs, progressions and more.

Our clinics are more than a place to run - they're like coming home. You will make long lasting friendships, build new memories, push your limits and enhance your performance. 

Next Up! Summer Social / Performance Trail Running Clinic

Our summer clinic offers runs on Wednesday only, as the summer is a time where weekend schedules are all over the map. So we use Wednesdays to ensure our athletes get the most out of their training each week.

Athletes can expect a mix of leader lead adventure runs and speed workouts on Wednesdays. The leader lead runs will be 90min to 2hrs in duration and you can build your own speed workout duration from 45min to 90min. 

WEDNESDAY DETAILS
Start time: 6:00pm 
  • Adventure Nights: athletes can sign up for a leader-lead group run lasting 90min to 2hrs in duration. We offer three different paced groups to choose from.
  • Speed Nights: athletes will have different workouts to choose from, based on their fitness, goals and experience. Coach R is on hand to help modify and adapt to help you get the most out of every workout and help avoid injury. Workouts focus on hill repeats, fartleks, stamina and tempo workouts and also incorporate movement prep, band work and workouts such as strides, running drills, time trials and terrain management. 
  • Wednesday post run social events will also be scheduled!

PREREQUISITES
  • Our weekly adventure runs, will require a minimum 2hr running base in order to participate.

Training Plans
We offer a variety of training plans to help keep you on track, motivated and designed to help improve your performance. This summer will offer the following training plan options. If you have a different fall race on your schedule, let Coach R know and she will modify your program for you.
  1. Golden Ultra.
  2. Squamish 50k or 50/50.
  3. Wandering Moose 10k, 21k & 42k
  4. 25k & 50k training plans to keep you motivated, on-track and improve overall performance during the summer.

OUT OF TOWN RUNNERS
Our clinics include a detailed coaching component with a weekly video providing instructions, focus and training tips. Learn more about how to train properly, with purpose, focus and stay motivated. Get your training questions answered and have fun training with an incredible group of like minded people in our community.

We offer 10 spots for anyone out of town that wants access to all the training information and clinic platform, minus the in-person runs. This is a great way for anyone looking to feel more connected to a running community and enhance their training.

What's Included.

Each clinic varies a little in what areas we focus on, however here is a general overview: 
  • In-person Wednesday run workouts and adventure runs. (in-town runners)
  • Weekly in-person coaching and also e-coaching.
  • Newsletters & access to our online Performance Centre with training videos, warm up drills, core routines, rehab and more.
  • Experienced leadership team which consists of 12 trail leaders.
  • Training plans to accompany each training group, per clinic, based on the season and goals of the clinic.
  • Our trademark  PACE ENDURO's, which we started back in 2013. Trail race scenario with marked course, aid station that lasts 2-5hrs in duration so athletes can practice their new skills, challenge their fitness and test their race strategy.
