STAY TUNED FOR A NEW 2025
COURSE ANNOUNCEMENT!
10KM
Runners shuttle up to June Springs parking lot for their start making the route a total of 10km and 300m. Starting in June Springs parking lot, runners will start climbing through a beautiful forest before turning left on Angel Springs trail, which is mostly a technical wonderland filled with roots and rocks. It traverses 4 creek crossings, although this time of year the creek flows gently, allowing easy passage. The landscapes will continue to change from shadowed moss and fern filled forest, to open, bright loamy bits of single track. The final stretch to the finish is less of a push and definitely more of a punch! Save some pow in the ol' quads for the final few kilometres. |
21KM
Runners exit Myra Canyon Park and run down June Springs road for approx. 900m until they reach the turn off that takes them into beautiful Myra Bellevue Provincial Park! A favourite on this side of the park, runners will flow along Pipers and over to Lost Lake before climbing up Grassy trail and eventually turning left on Outhouse trail which is a fun and winding single track.
Runners will hit a short piece of FSR (Hromek) down to Bailout trail, which requires a sharp right hand turn! Bailout trail will be filled with beautiful fall colours and rolling terrain all the way to June Springs parking lot where runners will access the aid station. From here, runners follow the 12km course to the finish and should save some jam for the final punchy climb.
42KM
Runners follow the same route as the 21km until Outhouse trail, where they turn right and continue to run a variety of terrain all the way up to the KVR. (Swamp Thing, Lost Lake, Captain Nemo).
After a short flat section on the historic KVR, runners are in for a treat as they descend all the way down Crawford trail to Look-Out trail where big views of Crawford Canyon and the Okanagan Lake can be seen for miles.
It's smooth going until runners hit hillbilly trail, where this popular mountain bike trail offers more technical sections before hitting Flamingo Flats. A 90 degree left hand turn leads runners onto Race Classic, Earring Trail and eventually they hit lower bench / Crawford parking lot and the 2nd aid station. Save some energy for Fairlane Trail which is an awesome stretch of fun, rolling single track that will surprise you with some punchy climbs. After a very short stint on Hromek Road runners left on Myra Bailout Trail to the 3rd and final aid station. From here, runners follow the rest of the 11km course.
Kids Race
The distance is about 1.5km and all ages are welcome, however we typically see kids aged 5 to 10 participate. Kids under the age of 5 must be accompanied by an adult. It's fun event and not timed. Each kid gets a bib and finishers treat. The entry is $5 and 100% of the proceeds go towards the Canadian Mental Health Association, more specifically Georgia's Wish. Registration is online.
