Our clinics help take your running to the next level. Each clinic is coached by professional running coach Rene Unser and is supported by an incredible team of experienced athletes who know the trails, love to explore and enjoy helping others reach their goals. The team is diversified and some are certified in alpine safety, some are personal trainers, and some are coaches. They all love to participate in a variety of outdoor pursuits!
P.A.C.E. offers 4 trail running clinics per year, and each clinic has a slightly different training focus & duration, depending on the time of year.
Wednesday focuses on speed, strength and stamina. Athletes get to participate in time trials, hill climbs, fartleks, intervals, and more.
Sundays are focused on building endurance through long runs. This includes vertical challenges, enduro races, adventure runs, progressions and more.
Our clinics are more than a place to run - they're like coming home. You will make long lasting friendships, build new memories, push your limits and enhance your performance.

Next Up! Fall Clinic
September 21st to December 11th
The fall clinic runs for 12 weeks & hosts 24 in-person sessions, however your registration will include an additional 5 week extension to the training plans, so you have guidance and extra motivation during December, after the clinic wraps up. This will help bridge your fitness and keep you on track as you head into the new year and new goals!
WEDNESDAY DETAILS
Start time: 6:00pm
Wednesday night runs will take place on both road and trail, focusing on hill repeats, fartleks, stamina and tempo workouts. There will be a mixture of bread and butter workouts which are staples in every athletes tool kit, as well as taper and recovery workouts for anyone racing this fall.
SUNDAY DETAILS
Start time: 7:30am
Generally, we offer front of pack, mid-pack and back of pack paced groups per distance. This depends on the registrations for each clinic.
Sunday runs will take place on a variety of trail networks in and around Kelowna.
OUT OF TOWN VIRTUAL OPTION
We offer 5 additional virtual clinic spots available for out of town athletes. This is a great option if you're looking for extra accountability, want to learn more, have access to a coach and feel connected to community.
PERFORMANCE FOCUS THIS FALL
- Emphasis on technique & form.
- Downhill & Uphill running workshop, separate from clinic sessions with video analysis. (virtual option as well)
- Strength, mobility, flexibility and durability videos athletes can access through the performance section.
- Weekly speed session.
- Weekly long run session.
- Different training plans to choose from.

We offer a variety of training plans to help keep you on track, motivated and designed to help improve your performance. This summer will offer the following training plan options. If you have a different fall race on your schedule, let Coach R know and she will modify your program for you.
OUT OF TOWN RUNNERS
Our clinics include a detailed coaching component with a weekly video providing instructions, focus and training tips. Learn more about how to train properly, with purpose, focus and stay motivated. Get your training questions answered and have fun training with an incredible group of like minded people in our community.
We offer 5 spots for anyone out of town that wants access to all the training information and clinic platform, minus the in-person runs. This is a great way for anyone looking to feel more connected to a running community and enhance their training.

Public registration will open on August 15th at 8am.

25km runners must have a long run base of 90min and be running 2-3x's per week for a weekly volume of no less than 2hrs.
50km runners must have a long run base of 2hrs and be running 3-4x's per week for a weekly volume of no less than 3hrs.
Proof of vaccination will be required for all participants. This decision has been made in consideration of everyone’s health and safety. The safety of our community is our top priority. We understand this may not align with everyone’s choice and we appreciate your understanding. Please email a copy of your proof of vaccination bot [email protected] prior to the start of the clinic. This will all be kept confidential. Thank you for your cooperation.

What's Included.
Each clinic varies a little in what areas we focus on, however here is a general overview:
- In-person Wednesday run workouts and adventure runs. (in-town runners)
- Weekly in-person coaching and also e-coaching.
- Newsletters & access to our online Performance Centre with training videos, warm up drills, core routines, rehab and more.
- Experienced leadership team which consists of 12 trail leaders.
- Training plans to accompany each training group, per clinic, based on the season and goals of the clinic.
- Our trademark PACE ENDURO's, which we started back in 2013. Trail race scenario with marked course, aid station that lasts 2-5hrs in duration so athletes can practice their new skills, challenge their fitness and test their race strategy.
- Fun virtual events such as music trivia, yoga classes and more.
