Name: Tara McCann
How long have you been running with PACE? How long have you been a leader with PACE? Running since Spring of 2016. As a leader, starting fall of 2020.
What are some of your hobbies outside of running? Travelling, snowboarding, sometimes I’ll sew a l’il something, and always good food.
Describe PACE or what it means to you in 1-2 sentences: PACE is a warm community of a unique mix of people all brought together by a common love of not only running but being outdoors, movement, great views, and great times. It’s hard not to be inspired by everyone’s adventures and drive.
What has been your favourite trail or place to run in the whole wide world? Not sure of the specific trail but any from the Revelstoke camp 2019. The views!
What is your go-to fuel on long runs? Gels. ( They’re just so easy and for now, they work for me).
Funny running, racing or training moment: Well shit. Trying to find that perfect place to finally put to use the stashed away toilet paper I’ve been saving for all these years, thinking this is the spot, but nope, I look over to see another fellow Pacer casually coming my way, she was none the wiser but I had to rethink my game. And quick.
Number one tip for beginners: Just get out the door. If it’s a group run, just show up. Solo, just go. The rest is easy.
Is there anything else you'd like the PACE Community to know about you? No, there will be time for that on the trails.
