Can I defer my 2022 race entry or get a refund?
I didn't know what your cancellation policy was before registering. It wasn't communicated clearly.
I was signed up in 2020. What are my deferral options and do I get priority registration for 2022?
What's the expiry date for 2020 deferrals?
- No, you cannot defer your entry. You can however receive a 50% refund of your entry fees, if you contact us to officially drop out before March 1 at midnight Pacific time. After March 1, there will be no refunds.
- Why can't I get a refund after March 1st? As of March 1st our budget needs to be 100% in place in order to host a premier event like Wild Horse Traverse.

- Our website and registration platforms asked racers to read and review our policy before signing up.
- Further, our website states that runners have a 24hr window after registering for our events to request a refund if they are not happy with the policy.
I was signed up in 2020. What are my deferral options and do I get priority registration for 2022?
- An email was sent out to all 2020 registered Wild Horse Traverse racers on January 22, 2021 with the most recent updates. Please email [email protected] if you didn't receive this.
- Official priority registration for the June 4, 2022 event will take place November 2, 2021 via an email from Ultra Sign-up with the choice to defer 60% of your race entry fees into one of the following years: 2022 or 2023.
- Priority / early registration applies for 2022 ONLY. Reason being; UltraSignup does not have the ability to track rollover years, just credits on accounts.
- Once you receive your priority registration link, you will have until October 28, 2021 to complete your priority registration. After October 28, 2021, your priority invitation will expire and you will need to register with the general public.
- Based on the number of runners rolling deferrals over to 2022, will determine how many (if any) spots we will have open for the public in 2022.
- If there are spots available, registration will open to the public on November 2nd.
What's the expiry date for 2020 deferrals?
- June 1, 2023. After this date, there will be no refund or deferrals and your credit will expire.
