MENTOR: Post Run Recovery

In this video I want to go over the recovery process and what you should be doing within 30min after a hard workout or race to be better prepared and recovered for your next workout.
Research shows that if you ingest a drink that contains carbohydrates and protein like a shake or smoothie within the first 30min after a workout or race, the process that facilitates your recovery is ramped by 300% - so you should always have a drink with carbohydrates and protein at the ready for when you finish these workouts or races.


  • Always have a drink ready for after your workout
  • Take it within 30min to take advantage of that recovery workout
  • Use the next hour to focus on rehydrating and eat a post workout meal.

I also share a few products that I use while I run and post run that have helped enhance my recovery process over the years.
