PACE RUN ADVENTURES The Bear High Alpine Mountain Running Camp in Revelstoke, BC

Experience some of the best alpine & mountain terrain the Revelstoke area has to offer! Returning for our 5th year, our Revelstoke Mountain Running Camp is suited for intermediate runners who have a solid running base and want to spend four long run days in the backcountry.
Our camps have a team of 6+ experienced trail & back-country leaders to help support your journey, make it more enjoyable and memorable. Lead by professional running coach, Salomon athlete & Hammer Nutrition ambassdor, Rene Unser, our camps will sweep you away with gorgeous mountain views, sweet alpine single-track & tasty quality food.Pack your camera and bring your climbing legs and let's explore!
Camp participants must be physically prepared to run 13-16hrs over 4 days in the mountains. (see below for run details)
2019 Camp Schedule
Friday August 2nd 3:00pm - Campers welcome at the Sutton Place Revelstoke. We will go over the camp details, what to expect, registration confirmation and then gear up for a shake out run on the local trails from 5pm to 6pm. Dinner downtown afterwards! Campers are responsible for their own dinner fees.
Saturday August 3rd - Breakfast on your own. - Meet outside hotel at 7:00am - Commute to trail head. Volunteer drivers required. - 8:00am: High Alpine Run in Revelstoke National Park. - Two group options today: 3hr or 5hrs. - 1:00pm: lunch at trail-head (pack your own lunch) - 3:00pm: Free-time. - 6:00pm pre-dinner social - 6:30pm to 7:30pm communal dinner presented by your hosts. - 7:30pm photos of the day (day 1 & 2) & day 3 briefing - 8:30pm get packed up, gear ready for the next day.
Sunday August 4th - Breakfast on your own. - 7:00am: Meet outside hotel. - 7:15am: commute to trail head. Volunteer drivers required. - 8:30am: High Alpine Run on Keystone Basin Trail or in Glacier National Park. TBA. - One group option today: 3-4hrs. - 12:30pm: lunch at the trailhead (pack your own lunch) - 2:30pm to 6:00pm: free time - 6:00pm pre-dinner social - 6:30pm to 7:30pm communal dinner presented by your hosts. - 7:30pm photos of the day (day 1 & 2) & day 3 briefing - 8:30pm get packed up, gear ready for the next day.
Monday August 5th - Breakfast on your own. - 7:30am: meet outside Sutton Place Resort. - 7:35am: high alpine run on Revelstoke Mountain. - Two group options today: 3hr & 5.5hr - 1:00pm: Wrap up high-fives, trail hugs and start commute home.
Please note that the group duration options, locations and timeline is approx. This may change due to weather, trail closures, participations etc., we will update the information the weeks leading into the camp. We will, however offer a short and long option 2 days of the camp for you to choose from. Short days are approx. 3hrs and long days can be upwards of 5.5 to 6hrs.
Friday August 2nd: Shake out run on the local trails at Mount McPhearson. (1hr) Saturday August 3rd: Scenic route in Revelstoke National Park. (5+hrs) Participants will have a shorter option (3hrs) Sunday August 4th: Keystone Basin or Glacier National Park. (3-4hrs) Monday August 5th: Mount Revelstoke National Park (5-6hrs). Participants will have a shorter option of 3hrs. Total Run Time: 10 - 16hrs (this schedule is subject to change and weather/trail condition dependent)
We will sleep easy at the luxurious Sutton Place Resort Revelstoke. All registration includes a private room. Couples have the option to share a bed in a private room for a slightly lesser cost. All rooms have king size beds and each condo has 2 bathrooms. The Sutton has an outdoor pool, hot tub and each condo has a modern kitchen with amenities.
Thursday August 2nd - dinner downtown. Participants responsible for their own dinner fees. Friday August 3rd - communal dinner provided by your hosts. Saturday August 4th - communal dinner provided by your hosts.
Participants are responsible for making their own breakfast, lunch and snacks. Participants pay for their restaurant meal on Friday & we will cook healthy and plentiful dinners on Saturday & Sunday evenings. Often lunch will be on the trail or just following the run, so plan accordingly.
The hostel has a communal kitchen and the Sutton Resort has full kitchenettes in each condo. There is a restaurant at the resort and plenty of coffee shops, grocery stores and restaurants in Revelstoke, as well at the Sutton Place.

Cost of Camp: $690 for shared room & shared bathroom (two twin beds or shared king bed) $920 for private room & private bathroom (one king bed)
Registration is based on 3 nights at the luxurious Sutton Place Resort / shared or private room.
There is a $250.00 non-refundable deposit built into the camp fees.
Should you have to withdraw from the camp before June 1st, you will be entitled to a refund less the $250.00 deposit.
Should you have to withdraw after June 1st, you will be entitled to a refund of 50% of the total cost.
Please note: camp fees are non-transferable from camp to camp.
We require a minimum of 15 participants to host the camp. Thank you.
