6 spots remain in the Winter Clinic that starts next Wednesday, January 7th. This clinic is geared for those athletes who are currently running 45min to 6+hrs. We have three training groups to choose from and a team of 10 experienced leaders to help lead the long training runs.
So whether you are looking for something new to kick your butt into shape this January, meet new people, learn new trails or have been training with PACE for over 9yrs... the new clinic format is sure to challenge and enhance everyone's fitness and focus next year. This clinic currently has over 8 NEW people registered. So it's a great time to start if you're feeling a little intimidated or shy. We are a very welcoming and easy going group. We coach a variety of athletes from experienced-competitive to off the couch-just want to have fun peeps. You work as hard as you want to & we simply try to motivate you to step into your potential.
This clinic is 14 weeks in duration. So if you miss out this January, the next clinic starts in mid-April. There is a special strength/conditioning component that athletes will follow from home or at the gym. The focus is on foundational training, balance, ankles, hips, core, back etc... We will include the usual amount of fun events into this clinic such as the infamous PACE Enduro. Athletes will also receive weekly newsletters to stay motivated, keep inspired and learn the latest about technique and training in general. All athletes have access to professional running coach, Rene Unser and will have unlimited support with their goals.
REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE THIS SUNDAY. If you want to grab one of the last spots in this clinic, register soon! CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO
Thank you for choosing PACE. We know there are a lot of great training options in our community and we are honored you choose to invest your time and moolah with us. Coach Rene will be sending out a newsletter this weekend confirming your registration, providing you with a sign in code for the website where the training calendar, workouts, updates etc... will be imputed for clinic participants to access only.
It's going to be a great year! Be open. Be ready. Take a deep breath and smile. This is your life. Your goals. Your feelings. Your journey and PACE is here to help you achieve your potential and have FUN.
Thank you to everyone who came out to support the 4th annual charity run for the food bank today. Together we collected two trunks FULL of food and raised funds. I gave half of the donations to my Dad so he could drop off at the food bank in Winfield and the other half will supply Kelowna.
We had over 60 people show their community spirit and make a difference. Thank you to the PACE team for volunteering their time to lead the run and hike groups!
Due to the current icy conditions in Myra Bellevue Provincial Park, we have changed the location of the event to keep everyone safe and make it a positive experience.
Thank you for your cooperation and flexibility!

First off: Thank you to everyone for your patience! Broken Goat 25k & 50k takes place on a remote point-to-point course and there are numerous logistics & requirements involved. I wanted to post an update to inform everyone that I am still working on these logistics and doing what I can to try to accommodate more people to participate in the 25k & 50k courses and I hope to have confirmation within the next few weeks.
I appreciate the generous amount of interest and enthusiasm for this event and equally your patience with the process.
This Sunday, December 14th will mark the 4th annual Holiday Hamper Trail Run with PACE Sports Fitness. The generous and outstanding PACE team volunteers their time & expertise to help give back to the community each year, in exchange for donations towards the Kelowna Food Bank.
We make it easy for everyone to get involved and choose a group that is best suited for you, your fitness level and comfort. We use a "loose" formula based on your fastest 10k road time. If you don't know your fastest 10k time, then we suggest going conservative. Either way, nobody is going to be left behind or excluded. Look at the crew in the photo above... it doesn't get any kinder or more supportive that that ;) This is NOT a race. It's a fun, social trail run with the goal to bring people together, enjoy a trail run and support our local food bank. The duration of the run or hike is 75-90min. After the run we encourage you to bring warm layers, jackets and pack some hot cocoa or tea in a thermos. PACE will provide cookies and sweets :) If you have a preference, please bring it along!
CHOOSING YOUR GROUP: Based on your fastest 10k road time:
A GROUP: 55min or less
B GROUP: 55min to 70min
C GROUP: 70min to 90min
D GROUP: Hike. No running.
Don't forget to bring non-perishable items for the food bank + please bring them in a separate bag. Thank you for you support! See you, your friends and family on Sunday December 14th at 10:00am. The event takes place at the end of Stewart Road East, Crawford Main Parking Lot.
1. Bring non-perishable items for the food bank.
2. Dress up in festive colors or costumes. Red, Green, White. Be creative! Prize for best costume.
3. Bring warm clothes, jackets and some hot cocoa or tea for after the run tail gate party so you stay warm after you're finished running.
4. Arrive at 9:45am so we can get into our appropriate groups and take our team photo.
5. Run/hike departs at 10:00am.
6. Run duration is 75-90min.
7. After party in the parking lot is optional but encouraged :)
