Some really great memories made during the January clinic this year. A strange year for weather... I think we had winter 4 different times over the 8 week clinic. Saved the best for last in this video. Cory's moonwalk after Team Canada Men's Hockey won gold in the Olympics. Thanks for everyone who participated in the January clinic and to the best team a gal could ever ask for. Let's get on with spring... new clinic starts next week!
Only a few days left to register for the Spring Trail Running Clinic or Learn to Trail Run 5km Clinic starting the first week of March. Registration will close on Friday February 28th. No exceptions.

Wow. Time has just flown by this winter. We only have one week left in the January Trail Running Clinic and then "spring" starts. Despite our recent dump of snow on the weekend, I am sure the snow will melt fast in good ol' Okanagan style. Pretty soon we will all be complaining that it's "too hot out". (we better not!)
It's great to see so much interest in the clinic series again this year. I am super excited for the upcoming season as I have changed the format of the clinic slightly to provide more instructional practice, video analysis and emphasis on running technique. I have also had fun scouting out NEW workout locations to add to the training schedule.
The 50k group has grown, which is a nice surprise. It's awesome to see more people building confidence and fitness with PACE. The 15k & 25k show strong presence too and I am always so impressed that people make time for these training groups with busy careers, families and well... responsibilities to tend to :) So inspiring.
For anyone fence sitting - there are only 5 spots left up for grabs. We will be welcoming new people to the PACE scene so don't worry if you thought you would be the only one. All walks of life train with PACE and we welcome everyone with open arms. Fun is just up ahead... up on top of that hill, around the bend, down the trail and up again.

Tough conditions for all groups out training with PACE this morning. We woke up to lots of snow and full winter conditions. The trails were super icy and kudos to the amazing leadership team for their guidance and extra support for all the runners.
High fives to the athletes out braving these conditions and working hard for 1.5 to 4.5hrs depending on the group you were in. Motivation was high and as always, so great to see group motivation at its finest.

This is our 4th annual PACE trip to participate in the awesome SUN MOUNTAIN EVENT. Within the first 90min of registration open, PACE athletes have already started to get their registrations sealed. Athletes in the 50mile, 50k & 25k. Let's not forget the slew of kids who do the fun kids race too We have 9 townhouses rented and our largest road trip to date ahead of us.
Wade, Nathan, Jay, Carter and anyone else who strums... bring your guitars. I see some karaoke in our future.

This was the clinic that paved the way for PACE back in 2005. It is one of our most popular clinics and fills up fast.
The 2014 clinic has been enhanced in several ways. Starting by adding 2 additional weeks, allowing for a full 3 months training cycle. Athletes will get more out of their in-training season and a more detailed training plan which will help take their training to a new level.
This clinic continues to build endurance on Sundays and introduces specific coaching tactics by Head Coach, Rene Unser, that have become proven to maker her athletes faster! Time trials, vertical training, combo-training etc... whether you want to race or just enjoy the trails and be super fit, this is the clinic for you!
Our Pre-Season clinic also prepares participants for a NEW trail running race in West Kelowna called Spring Rush 3k, 16k & 25k Trail Race as well as our annual trip down to Winthrop, Washington for Sun Mountain 25k, 50k, 50m. Clinic participants receive a reduced entry fee for the Spring Trail Race.
You don't have to be a seasoned trail runner to participate in a PACE clinic. We get people from all different experience levels and goals. That's why we have options. 15k, 25k & 50k training groups. If you are running 30-40min 2x's per week you're in a perfect place to register for the 15k training group.
