fall trail runningNEW for fall 2021, we will be splitting the fall clinic up into two training periods. The first training period of the clinic will be focused on maintenance and/or supporting those wrapping up their race season. This will allow a period of proper and healthy rest for those who have been charging through the year or allow a gradual build for those who have perhaps taken time off during the summer or new to base building.
The second training period of the clinic will be focused on base building and we are essentially taking a section of our "normal winter" clinic base training and getting a jump start as we head into the 2022 season. The fall clinic runs for 12 weeks & hosts 24 in-person sessions, however your registration will include an additional 5 week extension to the training plans, so you have guidance and extra motivation during December, after the clinic wraps up. This will help bridge your fitness and keep you on track as you head into the new year and new goals! WEDNESDAY DETAILS Start times: 6:00pm Wednesday night runs will take place on both road and trail, focusing on hill repeats, fartleks, stamina and tempo workouts. There will be a mixture of bread and butter workouts which are staples in every athletes tool kit, as well as taper and recovery workouts for anyone racing this fall. SUNDAY DETAILS Start times: 7:30am Generally, we offer front of pack, mid-pack and back of pack paced groups per distance. This depends on the registrations for each clinic. Sunday runs will take place on a variety of trail networks in and around Kelowna. VIRTUAL WORKOUTS We feel confident based on Phase III of BC's restart program that our sessions will all be in-person this fall, however we will offer a strong on-line presence and support should we need to pause in-person workouts for any reason. OUT OF TOWN VIRTUAL OPTION We offer 5 additional virtual clinic spots available for out of town athletes. This is a great option if you're looking for extra accountability, want to learn more, have access to a coach and feel connected to community. PERFORMANCE FOCUS THIS FALL - Emphasis on technique & form. - Downhill & Uphill running workshop, separate from clinic sessions with video analysis. (virtual option as well) - Strength, mobility, flexibility and durability videos athletes can access through the performance section. - Weekly speed session. - Weekly long run session. - Different training plans to choose from. |

This decision has been made in accordance with the BC Provincial Health Officer’s Order, and in consideration of everyone’s health and safety. The safety of our community is our top priority, and we are aligning with the BC Vaccine Card requirements’ (meaning full vaccination must be completed by October 24th). See more information on this here. We understand this may not align with everyone’s choice and are happy to provide a refund for you if you prefer.

Starting August 4th at 12pm, anyone outside of the summer clinic an add their names to the waitlist HERE. You will be notified if there are any spots available after August 8th. Available spots will be released based on the order your waitlist registrations are received. Thank you.

50km runners must have a long run base of 2hrs and be running 3-4x's per week for a weekly volume of no less than 4hrs.
