Friends of the South Slopes
Friends of the South Slopes is a volunteer organization dedicated to the promotion of active outdoor recreation by maintaining trails used by hikers, runners, horse riders and mountain bikers in Myra-Bellevue & Okanagan Mountain Provincial Parks and other public lands on the South Slopes.
In 2013 PACE adopted and sponsored Earring Trail in the park and we have been hosting annual trail maintenance days ever since!
West Kelowna Trail Crew Society
We want to thank the hard working and talented trail building crew at the WKTCS who build and maintain the trail in Rose Valley Regional Parks where we host the Nimble Bear Trail Race.
Our annual Nimble Bear orientation runs raise funds to support WKTCS and their efforts in maintaining and building the spectacular trail networks in this area. In 2017 we raised over $750 for WKTC.
We will also be hosting an annual trail maintenance day to help give back and pitch in some of the hard work that goes into maintaining these trails. It's a wonderful way to get involved in your community and we can provide a letter for anyone who is collecting trail hours for seasonal races.
Kootenay Columbia Trails Society
The Kootenay Columbia Trails Society is a registered, non-profit society, based in Rossland B.C., funded by and serving the communities of the Greater Trail region.
This incredible network of passionate and hard working individuals exist to manage, maintain and develop a regional network of recreational trails for a variety of self-propelled trail users.
Most of the trails are located on private property, and public access is only made possible by the generous cooperation of the landowners, who enter into insured agreements with the Society.
The KCTS relies on public funding, access to this private land, and professional management and maintenance to help support their efforts.
We are proud to give back to such a society that puts in endless maintenance hours every year and is so passionate about sharing their incredible mecca of trail networks.
Thanks for sharing your backyard with us.
Friends of the Rossland Range
FORR are also a huge supporter of our event, Broken Goat, in Rossland, BC. Many volunteers and hours of community input are key to the success of this society. They created the free public use area known as The Rossland Range Recreation Site.
Please consider purchasing a lifetime membership for only $5 per person. Membership & participation provides the foundation of community support and helps FORR achieve their goals.
Canadian Cancer Society
Our charity runs in 2012 and 2013 raised over $20,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society. Thank you to everyone who contributed to our fundraising goals for this charity that touches so many.
Kelowna Food Bank
