Meet Breanna & Jade

1/19/2020

We’re excited to introduce a couple of new PACE-rs this week. These ladies are both incredibly lovely, so easy to talk to, and this is their first PACE clinic!

Meet Breanna Snow

How did you hear about PACE? I had been chatting with friends in the community about some of my running goals, and everyone I encountered had nothing but amazing things to say about PACE so I decided to check it out.

What is your favourite thing about trail running? I love the bounciness of the trails. It feels like an adult playground.

Funny running, racing or trail moment: Definitely my first long run with PACE. We were cruising in roughly 2 foot deep snow, headed downhill and I had the BEST case of the “snow giggles”. I was sliding and trying so hard not the land in a snow bank, that I just couldn’t stop laughing. It was the greatest way to start a Sunday! I can’t wait till next week.

What are some of your hobbies outside of running? I’m usually up for just about an kind of adventure. Paddle boarding, volleyball, skiing, anything involving wine....

Do you have a favourite quote or mantra? “Be so completely yourself, that everyone else feels safe to be themselves too.” – Unknown

Meet Jade Arignon

How did you hear about PACE? I was introduced and inspired by the lovely Janine Taylor. I work with her at Urban Systems and the whole office followed along during her TAR experience in 2019. She’s an incredible athlete and mentor and the way she spoke about her PACE family was completely captivating.

What is your favorite thing about trail running? Well I’m a newbie, but so far I’d have to say that I love the challenge of the trails, the peacefulness of the outdoors, and the company (whether it’s the group or my pup Steve!).

Funny running, racing or training moment: Oh geez. It’s shocking that I don’t have one yet but I’m sure it’ll come. I’m one of those trip on a pine cone, lock your keys in your car, can’t have nice things kind of people. Stay tuned…

What are some of your hobbies outside of running? I grew up focused on sports, mostly basketball, and played through college. After that, I found
that most of my exercise as an adult was solo. I really missed the team and community feel that you get from team sports. PACE seems like the perfect blend of athletic challenge and team feel. I feel really grateful to have been introduced to this group through Janine.

Do you have a favorite quote or mantra? “No one is telling that you can’t do it except yourself.”- I’m pretty sure my high school track coach told me that right before I puked in a bucket he left out for us…. Ew.

Is there anything else you’d like the PACE Community to know about you?
I’m a dual French and Canadian citizen who grew up moving all over North America. I love all the sports, doggos, coffee and trying to make the world a better place. I’m grateful to the whole team of PACErs for providing a safe place for people to try something new. I don’t think you get that many chances as an adult to try something totally new and especially not in such a supportive environment. Thank you!
