Friday August 15th is the last day to register for the 8 week trail running clinic that starts next week with PACE Sports Fitness.
This clinic is open to all levels and participants have a choice of training for three different distances.
15k - start with 45min of running and build into 1.5hrs 25k - start with 1hr 15min of running and build into 3hrs 50k - start with 3hrs and build into 5hrs
We focus on strength and speed work on Wednesday nights where participants spread out and work at their own level with no pressure. Some athletes choose to just make Wednesdays workout a second endurance run of the week and skip on the speed.
Sundays we separate into 6 different groups based on fitness level, speed & experience so everyone feels comfortable and can make progress in their training based on individualized goals.
This clinic will also train athletes specifically for Autumn Rush 20k 40k 20k relay race on Oct 5th in Kelowna. Whether you're racing or not, the training will keep you motivated and fit!
We have all walks of life and people with varying fitness levels join our clinics. We are not just an elite group of hard-core trail runners! Working with professional running coach, Rene Unser, she ensures that everyone gets pushed at an appropriate level and that there is a fit for everyone.
The PACE team leaders are a jolly, happy, go-lucky bunch of people who love to share their passion for trail running with you. They will lead you on fun adventures and help you build both fitness and memories.
