| Strength Training Clinic for SNOW LOVERS |
|
It's a hard reality: even if you spent the last four months cycling, climbing or running, you can't forgo ski specific training in the weeks leading up to your first day in the snow. If you want to start your season feeling like you usually do in the middle of February, you have to trade off some of the single track or running miles for some hours in the gym.
The best way to transition from summer to ski season, is to focus in on your legs, core and upper body - and fine tune these areas for a few months before hitting the snow. This clinic is designed specifically for the Nordic skier, downhill skier, snowboarder and snowshoer. Whether you participate recreationally or compete in any of the above sports and are looking to make your upcoming season stronger, endure longer and remain injury free than this is the clinic for you. A spin-off from last year's Plyometric Conditioning Program, Rene has developed a sport specific training program with guarantees to train the areas of the body required to stay strong in the snow. Choose from one or two two training sessions, with both sessions focusing on building a solid foundation through core, balance, proprioception, flexibility and total-body strength. Workouts will total 1.5hrs and include lower body strength training (targeting common weak areas through mostly single leg movements), upper body conditioning, generous amount of time spent on core training through functional balance exercises with stability balls and balance equipment. Don’t just come and train through motions. Come and learn why and how to do it most successfully so that you can get the most out of your winter sport! Full relaxation and flexibility component will have you leaving each session restored and focused. Sign up soon, as this clinic is capped at 10 participants.
